ORDA Signs Landmark Partnership Agreement on Carbon Project Development with Darkhan-Uul Province and Forestry Agency
ORDA Wealth LLC, is thrilled to announce the signing of a Tripartite Partnership Agreement for the development of nature-based carbon removal projects. This agreement focuses on carbon credit issuance and trading, in collaboration with the Forest Department (an implementing agency of the Government of Mongolia under the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change) and the Darkhan-Uul Province. Together, the three parties are committed to advancing sustainable carbon projects.
The Partnership Agreement was signed by Mr. Oyunsanaa Byambasuren, Head of the Forest Department; Mr. Javhlan Banzragch, Deputy Governor of Darkhan-Uul Province; and Mrs. Kherlenchimeg Altankhudaga, Financial Director of ORDA, representing Mrs. Gerelmaa, CEO of ORDA.
The partnership aims to attract direct investments from both domestic and international markets to support research-based afforestation initiatives and the sustainable management of forest resources using biological methods in Darkhan-Uul Province and Darkhan City. These projects will remove carbon from the atmosphere in compliance with international standards, with the reductions validated, certified, and subsequently traded on the global carbon credit market.
Following project implementation, the partnership will pursue certification to ensure the reduction and removal of carbon dioxide meets international standards and regulations. These certified carbon projects will then be eligible for trading in the global carbon credit market.
By implementing this project, the province takes a significant step toward achieving sustainable development goals, while Darkhan City aims to become a model for sustainable urban development. The benefits of this initiative are designed to extend not only to the province and city but also to local communities.

Gerelmaa Batchuluun, CEO of Orda Wealth LLC, took part in the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP 29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The conference marked a pivotal moment in global climate action, with developed nations committing to triple their financial support to developing countries for combating climate change. This decision includes increasing climate financing to $300 billion annually through innovative investment mechanisms.
Significant high-level agreements were reached at COP 29, including amendments to Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. These amendments aim to promote carbon credit trading between countries and companies by fostering investments in projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions while ensuring market transparency. Aligning with these groundbreaking developments, ORDA’s partnership with Darkhan-Uul Province represents a timely and strategic response to the global shift toward climate finance and carbon market transparency.
The conference’s outcomes reflect the growing global emphasis on climate financing, the green economy, and sustainable development. It highlights the implementation of forward-thinking and impactful projects that align with these priorities, showcasing the importance of innovative solutions in tackling today’s pressing environmental challenges.
